Earth Week at the EcoTarium:
Ongoing Activities for FamiliesTuesday, April 19 - Thursday, April 21,
2005 ~10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Imagine how much it would cost if we had
to pay for all the things the Earth gives us for FREE-- air, water, a
place to make our homes, amazing animal and plant life, beautiful scenery
and more! Stop by during Earth Week to learn about everything you get
from Planet Earth and how you can say thanks by giving something back!

Earth Day Festival
Friday, April 22, 2005 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
We’ve cooked up a whole day of fun to celebrate our favorite planet,
including live animal presentations, hands-on art activities and fabulous
performances, including popular storyteller Diane Edgecomb and youth performers
from the Joy of Music. Visit more than 20 exhibitors to find out just
how easy it is to be green-- and why it’s so important. Half-price
admission all day ($4 adult, $3 child 3-18).
Regional Environmental Council’s Citywide Earth Day Cleanups
~ Saturday, April 30,2005 ~ 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Worcester’s citywide Earth Day Cleanup will be held on April 30.
There are two ways for you to get involved: select a site in your neighborhood
and coordinate the cleanup activities for that location or volunteer without
a specific site in mind, and the REC will be happy to place you at a site
where volunteers are needed. All cleanup sites need to be registered with
the REC in order for trash to be transported.
